Calcite is the second most common of crystals, and is matched only by Quartz for diversity. It can occur in many colours and shapes. Its shape is a rhombus / rhomobohedral, which means it’s a 'lop’-sided rectangle. This shape can be seen throughout the hundreds of Calcite formations.
